Dear Colleagues:
The second meeting of the 2024–2025 Legislative Assembly will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda is available now on the Legislative Assembly Agenda page.
Chancellor Julio Frenk will share his vision and priorities for UCLA. Members will vote on two Memorials: the Adjunct Faculty Series Academic Senate Membership Memorial to the Regents and the Health Sciences Clinical Faculty Series Academic Senate Membership Memorial to the Regents. Members will also vote on a new degree proposal and various bylaw and regulation amendments. Finally, members will discuss and then vote on a department name change that was handled incorrectly at the previous meeting.
Although each department and School has formal voting representation to the Legislative Assembly, all members of the Academic Senate are welcome to attend. In the spirit of shared governance, I encourage you to do so.
To ensure the integrity and security of the meeting, it is necessary for all non-representative attendees to RSVP via the Google Form. Details for Zoom will be provided to those who RSVP by 12 p.m. PST on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
