The application submission deadline for the Research Allowance Program (RAP) is on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., PST. The UCLA Academic Senate’s Council on Research (COR) announced the funding opportunity on January 31, 2024. Academic Senate members may apply for up to $5,000 in research funds.
Research Allowance Program
The COR Research Allowance Program is a program that provides financial support for research-related activities of Senate faculty at UCLA. The maximum request amount per faculty member is $5,000 per funding cycle (fiscal year). COR will determine the amount funded. Only applicants whose total research support does not exceed $100,000 for the 2024-2025 academic year may apply. The number of grants depends on available funds.
Please note:
- The program guidelines and application are available on the COR Research Allowance Program web page.
- Each eligible Senate faculty member may submit only one application per fiscal year.
- Grant recipients must spend funds within the fiscal year for which they are requested. All unexpended funds are automatically recaptured by UCLA Business & Finance Solutions as of June 30, 2025 for redistribution. No extensions will be available under any circumstances.
