Academic Program Review Committee (APRC)

COMMITTEE CHARGE

The Academic Program Review Committee (APRC) is charged with conducting all aspects of the Academic Program Review process, as outlined in Appendix XVI. The committee periodically reviews all academic programs of study as delegated by the Graduate Council and Undergraduate Council. Additionally, the committee develops and monitors the procedures and policies related to the administration of academic program reviews.

Membership

The APRC consists of 19 Senate Faculty members and two Student Representatives:

  • 17 Senate Faculty members appointed by the Committee on Committees, two of whom designated as the Co-Chairs
  • One Senate Faculty and current Graduate Council (GC) member, appointed by the GC
  • One Senate Faculty and current Undergraduate Council (UgC) member, appointed by UgC
  • Two Student Representatives, one undergraduate and one graduate student, appointed by their respective student government associations

 

Interactions with Administration: Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost; Vice Chancellor of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; Dean of Graduate Education; Dean of Undergraduate Education; Academic Deans of each Division in the College of Letters & Science and each Professional School

Interactions with Other Divisional Senate Committees: Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Committee on Rules & Jurisdiction; Council on Planning and Budget; Graduate Council; Undergraduate Council
