Dear Colleagues:

The final meeting of the 2025–2026 Legislative Assembly will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda is available now on the Legislative Assembly Agenda page.

At the meeting, UC Academic Senate Vice Chair/Chair Elect Susannah Scott will present and answer questions. Interim Vice Chancellor/Chief Financial Officer Reem Hanna-Harwell will offer updates and answer questions. Legislative Assembly members will vote on one proposal for a new department and degree program, and another proposal to realign select Academic Senate committees. Also, members will vote on several bylaw amendment proposals from various departments.

Although each department and School is represented by one or more formal, voting members of the Legislative Assembly, all members of the Academic Senate are welcome to attend. In the spirit of supporting shared governance, I encourage you to do so.

To ensure the integrity and security of the meeting, it is necessary for all attendees to RSVP via this Google Form.
