Dear Colleagues:
The Legislative Assembly will hold an emergency special meeting on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda is available now on the Legislative Assembly Agenda page.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider the adoption of two separate resolutions proposed by voting Legislative Assembly members:
- Resolution of No Confidence in Chancellor Block
“Whereas, Chancellor Block failed to ensure the safety of our students and grievously mishandled the events of last week
Resolved, that we make a motion of no confidence in Chancellor Block.” - Resolution to Censure Chancellor Block
“Whereas, Chancellor Block failed to ensure the safety of our students and grievously mishandled the events of last week
Resolved, that we make a motion to censure Chancellor Block."
Each department and School has formal voting representation (PDF) to the Legislative Assembly. Additionally, only members of the Academic Senate and certified student representative observers may attend. In the spirit of shared governance, I encourage you to do so.
To ensure the integrity and security of the meeting, it is required for all attendees to RSVP via this form. Details for Zoom will be provided to confirmed registrants who RSVP by 10 a.m. PDT on Friday, May 10, 2024.
