Dear Colleagues:

The first spring meeting of the 2025–2026 Legislative Assembly will take place in-person on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. in the California Nanosystems Institute (CNSI) Auditorium. The agenda is available now on the Legislative Assembly Agenda page.

At the meeting, members of the Council on Planning and Budget will present an updated report on the campus budget and deficit. Chancellor Julio Frenk and Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Darnell Hunt will discuss with members their response to the Resolution on Shared Governance, Senate Consultation, and Administrative Accountability, which was approved at the February 2026 Legislative Assembly meeting.
Legislative Assembly members will also vote on several bylaw amendment proposals proposed by various departments.

Although each department and School has formal voting representation to the Assembly, all members of the Academic Senate are welcome to attend. In the spirit of shared governance, I encourage you to do so.

To ensure the integrity and security of the meeting, it is necessary for all attendees to RSVP via the Google Form.
