Last spring, 10 Senate members ran for six elected positions. In addition, the Committee on Committees appointed 69 faculty to Senate standing committees based on their responses to the Senate service interest survey. Including the Legislative Assembly, 521 faculty serve in the divisional Academic Senate this academic year. I hope you will consider joining your colleagues in Senate service during the 2026-2027 academic year.
I encourage your participation in this important aspect of shared governance at UCLA. Again, please visit Academic Senate Elections to learn more.
Sincerely,
Frances Olsen
