Before proposing a course for General Education (GE) credit, please review the General Education Principles and Learning Goals outlined in the UCLA Guide to General Education Courses.

All proposals must be submitted via the UCLA Curriculum Management System with the following materials attached:

• A completed GE Course Information Sheet.
• A GE course syllabus. Note that syllabi must comply with the UCLA Course Syllabus Policy.
• A sample assignment (e.g., essay prompt, exam question, or other form of assessment)

Submission Deadline: Friday of Week 2. 

Departments are encouraged to submit proposals at least two quarters in advance of the requested effective term (e.g., Fall application for Spring course) to allow for revision, if needed. Approval by GEGC and the Undergraduate Council is required for GE certification.
