Dear Colleagues: 

The first regular meeting of the 2025–2026 Legislative Assembly will take place in person on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. in the Grand Salon, Kerckhoff Hall. The agenda is available now on the Legislative Assembly Agenda page.

Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Darnell Hunt will offer remarks and updates. Legislative Assembly members will vote on whether to reaffirm the UC Academic Senate statement “The Defense of the University.” Members will consider the adoption of two resolutions: a Resolution on Financial Transparency and the Restoration of Shared Governance in Budget Planning and a Resolution on Information Technology Accountability, Transparency, and Shared Governance. They will also vote on a department proposal and bylaw and regulation amendments.

Although each department and School has formal voting representation to the Assembly, all members of the Academic Senate are welcome to attend. In the spirit of shared governance, I encourage you to do so.

To ensure the integrity and security of the meeting, it is important for all attendees to RSVP via the Google Form.
