Prior to proposing a course for GE credit, please review the complete GE Guidelines and Learning Goals for GE Foundation Areas:

• Arts & Humanities Learning Goals
• Society & Culture Learning Goals
• Scientific Inquiry Learning Goals

All proposals must be submitted via the UCLA Curriculum Management System with the following materials attached:

• A completed GE Course Information Sheet
• A course syllabus that includes the components outlined in the Information Sheet
• A sample assignment

Submission Deadline: Friday of Week 2. Departments are encouraged to submit proposals at least two quarters in advance of the requested effective term (e.g., Fall application for Spring course) to allow for revision, if needed. Approval by GEGC and the Undergraduate Council is required for GE certification.
